The theme on the 8th semester was "Biomedical signals and systems". In rehabilitation of paralyzed or partial paralyzed people something called Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), is used. In order to control the stimulation of different muscles, it would be nice to have sensory feedback information from the nerves. The decisive part in the feedback is the activity of each of the single fibre diameter.
We tried to make a time-fibrediameter representation of the actionpotentials, by using wavlet analysis of the nervesignals. You can read more about the project here. (Sorry only in danish)
